80s cocktail heaven meets monastic heaven in a surreal cocktail bar in London’s Borough Market. The basement space was historically part of a monastery, which later was replaced by Southwark Cathedral.
Visitors would descent into a post modern cloister that acted as a changing room, where guests would don ponchos. The cave bar featured an onyx counter and a sculptural rock backdrop, studded with horns of plenty, sculls and real plants.
The focus was a cocktail cloud chamber that guests would step into and inhale atomised gin and tonics.
